About The School
In 1978 Rose-Marie Menes founded the Westchester Ballet Center for the Performing Arts to provide the highest quality training to young dancers and to promote a life-long love of dance. Our school emphasizes correct technique in a non-competitive environment that is welcoming, challenging and enjoyable. Each student is encouraged to excel with individualized instruction and guidance from our professional staff. We believe that enriching our students’ lives through dance is a gift that will last forever.
The Westchester Ballet Center for the Performing Arts, which is also the home of the Dance Theater in Westchester, provides premiere professional instruction in all facets of dance and performance. Artistic Director Rose-Marie Menes believes that a background in quality dance and performance instruction helps children achieve their highest potential in learning and development. Our training makes students both mentally sharper and physically stronger, preparing them to take on the challenges of life.
We are committed to providing a progressive well-rounded curriculum. We cater to students of all abilities, from age three to adult. We offer a variety of classes taught by our highly diversified, professional teaching staff. Instructors develop students’ strengths in order to help them reach their ultimate potential. We motivate young minds to foster the growth of happy and healthy dancers. We are proud of the excellent reputation we have earned for providing the highest standards of instruction and concern for our students.
